The quality of the audio output is settable through encoding parameters. Any sound source playable through your computer`s sound card such as online streaming audio, radio, audio players (i.e. Media Player, WinAmp, Real Player etc), midi, microphone, CD, Tapes & LPs etc. Active Audio Record supports standard sound cards and can support more than one of them.
Silence detection during recording is available and it can optimize the file size or for cutting up a single file into more than one. For example a complete cassette can be recorded into one and then cut up to individual tracks through the silent passages. Volume controls vor channels as well as the mixer output are available. It supports ID3 tagging of mp3 and WMA tagging, OGG and FLAC tags. Integration code examples for VB, VBScript, C#, Perl, JScript, VB.Net, Delphi, C++ Builder are provided. It is compatible with Windows 98 and later. It is .NET ready and is Vista compatible. 64 bit Windows version is also supported.
